My name is Hemal Jagadeesh. I am studying in grade 8 at Vidyashilp Academy, Bangalore.
A few of my classmates and I took upon this project as our team is part of an initiative held by the United Nations (UN) in our school. This project is known as WFUNA (World Federation of United Nations Association) Mission Possible program and it focuses on helping students take on sustainable projects based on any Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
We have chosen to help a school in Devanahalli, Bengaluru. This school is run by a group of like-minded people (individuals) who want to give back what they received through education and infrastructure. We did a survey to the school and figured out the areas which required our support and kindness. Post survey our determination stood stronger in taking this initiative to transform the school to a better school were the students can experience a comfortable and meaningful education system. We are planning to get chairs and benches which is our first step. I need to raise 75,000 for the same. Construction of sports room and music room with equipments is our next target depending on the funds raised. I therefore request your support and inspiration to this project, which indeed will make a great difference!
