We are five friends who study in grade 8 at the Vidyashilp Academy and have taken up a project to provide tables and benches to a school in Bangalore. This is also a part of WFUNA’s (World Federation of United Nations Association) Mission Possible programme. The school is Gnana Jyothi Vidya Mandira located in Bangalore. The students at the school sit on mats or on poor and non-ergonomic seating arrangements.
JUST INR 5138 WILL GIVE 2 STUDENTS A DESK AND BENCH.
There are 120 school children enrolled for the academic year 2019-2020, and when we looked into the family / socio-economic background, all of the 120 children are from below poverty line families. The school also includes children with learning disabilities, hearing impaired, and autism. Such children need a special school which their parents are neither aware of nor want to take the trouble to research and send them to. Gnana Jyothi Vidya Mandira has teachers trained to cope with a few of these issues but no teaching aids are available for the same.

To make our dream a reality, we need your help. Every rupee you contribute, small or big in amount, to this project, will help improve the school and the experience of every student who goes there. Our target is raising 4.5 Lakhs, which is why we need your contributions! Our first aim is to ensure that there are enough tables and benches, anything we raise above that will go to building a kitchen for mid-day meals and then the library and so on.
ABOUT ME & THIS CAMPAIGN
Hello! I am HEMAL JAGADEESH. I am a student of class 8 studying in Vidyashilp Academy. I was highly motivated to work on the WFUNA project since it involves working on SDGs which are highly indispensable for future and for my interest in social activities.
The World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) is a global nonprofit organization representing and coordinating a membership of over 100 national United Nations Associations (UNAs) and their thousands of constituents.
I and my friends from eighth grade would like to work with Gnana Jyothi Vidya Mandira. We are working on basic needs that includes regular supply of water, basic furniture and sports and music equipment. The objective is to enhance the facilities in the school so that the children, who belong to mostly families below poverty line, are motivated to come to school. Our first step is the school furniture which would cost 75,000/- and with the additional support we wish to accomplish the remaining goals. We plan to raise funds for this objective and hence request you to contribute generously as your contribution is directly linked to the future of the 119 kids attending this school, and their families. ABOUT ROTARY BANGALORE INDIRANAGAR
Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar, is a 140 member club, with members from diverse communities and regions. It's engaged in various community service projects which include projects around health, infrastructure, water conservation, education. It's a model Rotary Club and we are very proud of the partners we have and the impact we have made. Some of our initiatives include:

HOW TO FUND THIS CAMPAIGN
Funding for this campaign is eligible for tax breaks as the Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar is a registered trust and you can avail of benefits under section 80G of the IT act. Foreign funding is not accepted.
FAQs
Will we get to know the details of how the money was spent?
Yes. After the money has been collected it will be transferred by Fueladream to the Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar. It will take from 2 to 3 months after that to get details of fund use. Once we get this information from them, we shall upload this to the UPDATES section of this campaign. You will then get an alert & can read details about the impact we have made and how the monies have been spent.
When do I get the receipts?
It takes up to 2 weeks after the campaign is closed for the monies to be transferred to NGO. The receipts will start getting processed about 4 to 6 weeks AFTER the campaign is closed and will be sent to you directly. The receipts will be sent by the Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar.
