My name is Hiya Jain and I am a Grade 11 student at The Riverside school, Ahmedabad.
I have started this campaign to raise awareness and funds to transform the lives of children & young adults who are differently abled and who come from poorer sections of society.A signifiant portion of India's population suffers from some sort of disability. They are often discriminated from society due to their disability and therefore require extensive care throughout their life. Yet with proper therapy and skill training they can be successfully reintegrated into society and live normal, self sufficient lives.
Prabhat is an NGO that works to help such kids and young adults in less privileged parts of society. INR 12500 can cover the costs of transformation for a child for a full year.
As an individual, I am trying to raise INR 25000 to impact 2 children/young adults. If I collect more funds we can transform the lives of more such children and young adults. Once the campaign is completed the NGO will give feedback on the beneficiaries. In cases where the parents are not comfortable with sharing the images of their son/daughter, we will use an AVATAR. I hope you understand the sensitivity in sharing that information.
