My name is Suchir and I am in Grade 9 at Vidyaniketan School, Bangalore.

I have undertaken this campaign because I think having a full meal a day is something that is a basic need for anyone. I can never imagine not eating 3 or 4 times a day leave alone just one meal. These children who are being supported are studying in Government schools in Bangalore and outskirts of the city. The fact that raising 22000 INR or more can give a mid-day meal for 20 children for a whole year is something that I am very excited about.This meal will be cooked very well and will fill a fellow student’s stomach, giving them satisfaction. I believe that a student must not give up education just because they cannot stop the hunger that is always present.

Hence, I would like you all to support my campaign and let us together bring confidence and change into the lives of these fellow students from rural areas. Most of them drop out of school because they don't get to eat anything the whole day and fall sick. Without education, a future that could be filled with wonder is lost.Akshaya Patra's mid-day meal program motivates students to go to school, remain healthy and continue with their education with a big smile, and as future citizens of India who could help others who were once like them.

Everyone can make a difference in that student’s life, and all we have to do to give just 1 filling meal every day to them for a year is to give INR 1100 per child. That’s how much we probably spend on one meal in a good restaurant. But the same good food can be given all year round to one student with the same amount.
