My name is Deepthi Karani and I study in grade 10 at Vidyaniketan School, Bangalore.
I have undertaken this campaign which includes providing footwear and distributing it to children in rural areas because I think something as simple as wearing footwear is a basic need for anyone. These children who are being supported are doing well at school despite adverse circumstances & conditions. Imagine walking kilometers to school barefoot every day under circumstances of heat, thorns, dirt, etc. Further, this initiative brings immense joy and confidence to the children. The fact that raising 22000 INR can give footwear & transform the lives of 100 children is something that I am very excited about and look forward to.
