Hello, I am Tia Poovayya in Grade10 at Mallya Aditi International school at Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
In today’s society, what we need more than just academic pursuits is to learn to develop empathy. We live in a society fragmented by various factors such as class, caste and economic status. Indian society reeks with these inequalities. We see these inequalities all around us.
The ovarian lottery is cruel but I have been blessed to be born into the family I have, that provides with all of my needs. Some, have not been as lucky and live extremely hard lives. To me, it’s time we stop just acknowledging these facts and begin to act on them.
The members at BGMS are just what we need in society. They create opportunities for children that have been neglected, helping them out of poverty. Helping them build a life and future. Giving them a place to stay, food to eat, an education and more importantly, a home.
I feel blessed to have an opportunity to aid a student’s education. It takes only INR 20,000 to change a students life for a whole year. Please do support my campaign and together we can change the life of a student and hopefully many more.
