My name is Akanksha Pendharkar. I am a Grade 12 student at Smt. Sulochana Singhania School, Thane.
This campaign is to raise funds for providing girls from poor homes with sanitary pads and a hygiene kit for a year. A sanitary pad is one of the basic necessities for teenage, schoolgoing girls and the hygiene kit consists of basic necessities like undergarments, a towel, and 2 soaps. Many of these girls do not have access to even undergarments. This is why the concept of a complete kit is essential. The cost of supplying all this & also distributing it is just INR 500.
Help me to raise a minimum of INR 20000 and you can be part of helping 40 girls for a year and transforming their lives to one of ease and dignity. If I raise more I can help change the lives of more girls. Not having pads and undergarments should not be a reason for girls to drop out of school. But it, unfortunately, is the biggest reason.
I understand this problem and I am convinced that we should do something about it. Let's ensure that girls from less privileged backgrounds, get help from us. Please join me in improving the lives of these school going girls.
