My name is Sayesha Agarwal. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur.
You probably cannot imagine what it is like to go blind. Yet over 11 million people in India live with cataracts — a condition that’s completely treatable. What stops them isn’t the medicine; it’s access and cost. For many elderly people from low-income homes, a cataract surgery that could restore their sight is simply out of reach.
Without that surgery, they lose their vision slowly, until they go blind. This is where we can step in. Thanks to Operation Eyesight, an NGO doing incredible work on the ground, just INR 3,500 can give someone back their sight.
That number stopped me in my tracks. INR 3,500 — the cost of a few dinners out or maybe a new watch — can change the entire trajectory of someone’s life. It doesn’t just restore vision; it restores independence, dignity, and quality of life.
I believe we can be part of that change. Please support my campaign, and let’s bring light into the lives of people who need it most.
