My name is Saanvi Pandey, and I am a 16-year-old Grade 11 student at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur.

I cannot imagine what it would be like to lose my eyesight. Learning that more than 11 million people in India are affected by cataracts—a condition that can often be treated with a simple surgery—deeply moved me. Yet, for many elderly individuals from low-income families, access to quality eye care remains out of reach because of financial constraints. A surgery that can restore sight is, for them, an unaffordable luxury.

Without timely treatment, cataracts can gradually lead to blindness. This is where we can make a meaningful difference. Through Operation Eyesight, a contribution of just ₹3,500 can fund a cataract surgery and give someone the priceless gift of sight.

What inspired me most was realizing that such a small contribution can completely transform a person’s life. Restoring vision does more than help someone see again—it gives them independence, dignity, confidence, and the opportunity to live a fuller life.

I strongly believe that meaningful change begins with compassion and collective action. By supporting this campaign, we can help restore hope to those who need it most and bring light back into their lives.
