My name is Himanshi Arora. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur.
I have always believed that the smallest acts of kindness often create the biggest changes. I may not have the power to solve every problem in the world, but I do have the choice to help someone when the opportunity comes my way. This campaign gave me that opportunity, and I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

When I learned that millions of people in India are living with cataracts and that many elderly individuals slowly lose their eyesight simply because they cannot afford a surgery, I couldn't stop thinking about it. Sight is something most of us take for granted every single day. Imagining someone losing the ability to recognise the faces they love or witness the beauty of an ordinary morning made me realise how precious vision truly is.

What inspired me the most is that hope doesn't always require something extraordinary. Sometimes, it begins with people choosing to care. If a community comes together, we can help restore not just someone's eyesight, but also their confidence, independence, and joy.

For me, this campaign is about more than fundraising. It is about learning empathy, taking responsibility, and proving that young people can create meaningful change. I want to use my voice to encourage others to believe that compassion is powerful and that even one person can inspire many more.

I hope my campaign becomes a reminder that kindness has a ripple effect. Every contribution, every share, and every conversation brings us one step closer to changing someone's life forever.

I am proud to stand for this cause because I believe that the brightest future is built by people who choose to bring light into someone else's life before their own.
