My name is Deven Choudhary. I am 15 years old and a Grade 10 student at Jayshree Periwal High School, Jaipur.

I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn that many students from low-income homes in Rajasthan, who go to school (mainly govt schools) do not have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag and often sit on the hard ground in order to study at school which in turn harms thier backbones.

Sitting down on the floor for long periods of time causes every 9 out of 10 students posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Thus, slowly harming thier future life. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues which are caused by cuts and wounds which leads to their absence at school harming their performance.

The back-to-school kit costing just a sum of 950 rupees gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat which enables them to sit comfortably at school or home, and a recycled school bag for carrying their accessories to the school. This is a very small amount to impact the condition of those students but still makes up a major step towards their development. for example, the funding of 2850 rupees can transform the lives of 3 students still facing the problems to acquire knowledge.

This campaign won't only supply these kits to the schools but would also ensure that those students use the commodities. It won't only increase the attendence ratio but would also encourage the children who don't go to schools to acquire knowledge.
