My name is Anika Sriram and I am a Grade 11 student at APL Global School, Chennai.

What would you do if you had to choose between carrying your books to school and having proper shoes to wear? What if you had to spend the school day sitting on a hard floor because there was no desk or mat? For many students from low-income families in Tamil Nadu, these are not hypothetical questions. They are part of their everyday experience at school.

I am undertaking this campaign through Fuel A Dream because I believe that access to education should not depend on a student's financial circumstances. I was deeply moved to learn that many students attend school without basic necessities such as proper footwear, a school bag, or even a comfortable surface to sit on while learning. These may seem like small things, but they can have a meaningful impact on a child's comfort, confidence, ability to concentrate, and overall experience at school.

The Back-to-School Kit provides a student with recycled footwear, a recycled school bag, and a recycled study mat. At just INR 950 per kit, a relatively small contribution can provide a child with essentials that many of us take for granted.

I am passionate about education, healthcare, and creating opportunities for young people to reach their full potential. Through this campaign, I hope to raise both funds and awareness for students who deserve the same opportunity to learn comfortably and confidently.

I believe that education is one of the most powerful ways to create lasting change, and that supporting a child's education is an investment in their future.
