I am Agriya Sandhu, a 14-year-old Grade 10 student at DPS Gurgaon, Sector-45. I am launching this campaign to support Make-A-Wish India, bringing hope and joy to children battling critical, life-threatening illnesses. Imagine a childhood stolen by hospital walls, painful treatments, and constant fear. For these brave young hearts, a single wish is not just a desire, it is a powerful lifeline. It transforms deepest despair into fierce courage, helping them see a beautiful world far beyond their illness.
Each magical wish costs INR 10,000, but the emotional healing it brings is priceless. It gives them a sliver of hope and happiness. Since 1995, Make-A-Wish India has granted over 1,00,000 wishes across the nation, working alongside 120+ dedicated partner hospitals and 8 regional chapters. Every single wish, no matter how big or small, leaves an indelible mark on a child’s healing journey.
These life-changing experiences fall into four beautiful categories. Through "I wish to go," children escape hospital rooms for dream trips, while "I wish to meet" allows them to find strength by hugging their heroes. Through "I wish to be," they forget their pain to live out a special role like a pilot or superhero for a day, and "I wish to have" provides a treasured possession that sparks pure joy. Partnering with local hospitals right here in the NCR, we bring these specific dreams to life.
