My name is Chirayu Ramanujan, and I am a 16-year-old Grade 11 student at Vidyaniketan School, Bengaluru.
I am running this campaign to support Make-A-Wish India in bringing hope, strength, and joy to children battling life-threatening illnesses. For these children, a single wish can make an extraordinary difference—transforming moments of fear and uncertainty into hope, happiness, and courage. Through partnerships with hospitals in Bengaluru, Make-A-Wish helps children look beyond their illness and focus on their dreams and aspirations.
Each wish costs approximately INR 10,000, but its impact is immeasurable. Since 1995, Make-A-Wish India has granted more than 100,000 wishes through its network of over 120 partner hospitals and 8 regional chapters across India. These wishes not only create joyful memories but also provide emotional strength, boost morale, and inspire children and their families during some of the most difficult periods of their lives.
Wishes generally fall into four categories:
* **“I wish to go”** – visiting a place they have always dreamed of seeing.
* **“I wish to meet”** – meeting a hero, role model, or inspiring personality.
* **“I wish to be”** – experiencing a dream profession or role for a day.
* **“I wish to have”** – receiving a special gift that brings comfort and happiness.
Every wish, no matter how simple or grand, has the power to create lasting memories and renewed determination. For a child facing a serious illness, a wish can be a source of motivation, confidence, and hope for the future.
