About:
My name is Venishaa H. I am 12 years old and a Grade 7 student at Whitefield Global School, Bengaluru.
I started this campaign after discovering that many students from low-income families in Karnataka, especially those studying in government schools, do not have access to basic school essentials that most of us take for granted. Many children walk to school without proper footwear, carry their books in worn-out bags, and spend hours sitting on hard classroom floors while studying.
These challenges affect much more than their comfort. Sitting on the floor every day can lead to poor posture, back and neck pain, difficulty concentrating, and other health issues over time. Lack of proper footwear can expose children to injuries, infections, and foot-related diseases. When students are uncomfortable or worried about these basic needs, it becomes harder for them to focus on learning and reaching their full potential.
To help address this problem, a Back-to-School Kit has been designed at a cost of just INR 950 per student. Each kit includes a pair of recycled footwear, a durable recycled school bag, and a recycled study mat that provides a clean and comfortable place to sit and learn, both at school and at home.
A small contribution can create a meaningful change. For example, a donation of INR 2,850 can provide complete kits for three students. Beyond the items themselves, these kits improve comfort, health, confidence, school attendance, and the overall learning experience.
By supporting this campaign, you are not simply donating school supplies—you are giving a child the opportunity to learn with dignity, comfort, and confidence. Together, we can help create brighter futures, one student at a time.
