My name is Sharath, a 12-year-old Grade 7 student at Whitefield Global School, Bengaluru. I started this campaign after discovering a harsh reality: thousands of students in Karnataka's government schools lack basic school gear. Without proper footwear or backpacks, they are forced to sit on the hard classroom floor for hours. Prolonged floor-sitting causes posture issues for 90% of these children, which indirectly harms their eyesight, concentration, and academic performance. Furthermore, walking barefoot exposes them to painful soil-transmitted diseases.
We can change this for just INR 950 per student. Each "Back-to-School" kit provides a pair of recycled footwear, a comfortable study mat, and a durable school bag. A small contribution can make a massive difference—for instance, a donation of INR 2,850 completely transforms the lives of 3 students.
