About:
I’m Atharva N. Mailapur, a Grade 7 student at Whitefield Global School, Bengaluru. I started this campaign after learning that many children from low-income families in Karnataka — especially those in government schools — lack basic school essentials like footwear, school bags, and even mats to sit on while studying.
Sitting on hard floors for long periods causes discomfort and posture problems, reduces concentration, and harms learning. Lack of proper footwear also raises the risk of foot injuries and infections. A back-to-school kit costing just ₹950 can change this: each kit includes a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat for comfortable seating at school or home, and a recycled school bag to carry books and supplies. By donating ₹2,850, you can provide kits for three students and make a real difference to their health, attendance, confidence, and academic success.
Please join me in supporting this campaign — your generosity will bring dignity, comfort, and opportunity to children who deserve a fair chance to learn and thrive. Thank you.
