My name is Shnaaya. I am 13 years old and a Grade 9 student at the Sanskriti School, New Delhi.

I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn that many students from low-income homes in Haryana and Uttar Pradesh, who go to school (mainly govt schools), do not have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag, and often sit on the hard ground in order to study at school.

Studies show that sitting on the floor for long periods can lead to posture-related problems, and can also have an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues.

Through this fundraiser, I aim to provide Back-to-School Kits to such students. Each kit costs just ₹950 and includes a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat, and a recycled school bag. These simple items can make a huge difference in improving comfort, boosting confidence, and encouraging better attendance and learning.
