My name is Diya.B and I am a student of grade 11 NPS HSR. It has been a long standing wish of mine to help society in some way. The lack of menstrual hygiene as well as awareness amongst society regarding menstruation is an alarming issue. Every person has the right to lead a healthy and hygienic life. The fact that many are deprived of this simply because of social stigma and lack of access to resources is unacceptable.
When I came to know about this campaign launched by Sanjana, I saw that through this initiative, I can help improve the lifestyles of young girls from various backgrounds. Not only did the initiative provide access to sanitary pads but it also helped in educating these girls and removing stigma against the process of menstruation. By joining this campaign, I hope that I can spread a positive message and find a solution to this long standing problem
