About:
My name is Arjun Malik. I am 11 years old and a Grade 7 student at Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur. My academic life is largely driven by a strong interest in mathematics and logical challenges. I regularly participate in competitive math events, such as the AMC 8, and I was recently selected for the Epsilon India Residential Camp. I enjoy the process of solving complex problems and exploring mathematical concepts that require deep concentration. This interest in logic often carries over into my participation in the school debate community, where I work on developing clear arguments.
Beyond my core academic focus, I am dedicated to learning new skills. I have been studying Spanish and am now able to handle basic daily conversations and descriptions. For physical activity, I play table tennis. I take the sport seriously and often look for ways to improve my performance by researching high-quality equipment and practicing my technique. The fast-paced nature of the game requires focus and quick decision-making. Whether I am working on a geometry problem or practicing on the court, I aim to be thorough and persistent.
I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn that many students from low-income homes in Rajasthan, who go to school mainly in government schools, do not have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag. They often sit on the hard ground in order to study. Sitting on the floor for long periods means many students face posture-related problems, which can impact their eyesight and ability to concentrate. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases.
The back-to-school kit costs just INR 950 and gives students recycled footwear, a study mat, and a school bag. This is a very small amount to impact a student. Funding INR 3800, for example, transforms the lives of 4 students. Please support my campaign so we can together impact the health, attendance, and grades of these fellow students.
