Hamari Ramleela is an independent ethnographic documentary project focused on documenting India’s living cultural traditions. The debut feature documentary “Hamari Ramleela” explores the vibrant practice of urban folk Ramleela and the communities who come together every year during Navratri to stage this cultural performance.
The film has received international recognition, including Best Feature Documentary (International Panorama) at the Janakpur International Film Festival in Nepal and a nomination for Best Indian Film at the FIPRESCI-India Grand Prix 2024. The film has also been selected at multiple festivals and invited for international cultural screenings in collaboration with Indian diplomatic missions.
