About:
My name is Keerthi Lakshmi Narayanan. I am 14 years old and a Grade 9 student at APL Global School, Chennai.
Menstruation is a natural and important part of every girl’s life, yet in many places, it is still seen as a taboo. While most of us have access to clean and safe menstrual care, thousands of girls and women in rural India do not. Every month, they are forced to use unhygienic substitutes like old rags, ash, leaves, or newspaper. Something as basic as access to proper menstrual care becomes a barrier to health, dignity, and education.
This is why I am supporting the Go Girl Foundation, an NGO that provides girls with a reusable menstrual hygiene kit that is safe, long-lasting, and eco-friendly.
Each kit includes 5 reusable pads, 3 for medium flow and 2 for heavy flow, and lasts up to 18 months. The cost of one kit, including distribution and training, is only ₹500.
For the price of a single T-shirt or a meal at a café, you can give a girl the gift of comfort, confidence, and dignity for an entire year and a half.
And that's why I'm here requesting for your help. Your contribution doesn’t just provide a pad. It keeps a girl in school, protects her health, reduces environmental waste, and gives her the freedom to live her life without fear or shame.
Let’s come together to ensure that no girl is held back because of her period. A small act from you can create a lifetime of impact for her.
