I’m Tushanth Palanisankar from Madurai and study or studied in APL GLOBAl school Chennai. I’m a pianist, drummer, YouTuber, and Instagramer. I’m also really into films. And yeah—I’m 14 years old in 2025 (till January 27).
I started this campaign because I was honestly shocked to find out that a lot of students in Tamil Nadu, especially those studying in government schools, don’t even have basic school items like proper footwear or a school bag. Many of them have to sit on the hard floor every single day just to study.
When students sit on the ground for long hours, 9 out of 10 of them end up with posture problems. It also affects their eyesight and makes it harder for them to focus in class. Not having footwear leads to a lot of foot-related health issues too.
That’s why the Back-to-School Kit is really important. For ₹950, one student gets recycled footwear, a comfortable recycled study mat, and a recycled school bag. And if someone funds ₹2850, they will be helping 3 students, which creates a big impact in their school life.
