My name is Agney. I am 12 years old and studying in Grade 8 at APL Global School, Chennai.

I started this campaign after learning something that really affected me. Many students from low-income families in Tamil Nadu, especially those studying in government schools, do not have basic school essentials like proper footwear, a school bag, or even a mat to sit on during class. Most of them sit directly on the hard floor for hours every day while learning.

Research shows that sitting on the floor for long periods causes posture-related problems in most children. It also affects their eyesight, concentration and their overall ability to perform well in school. On top of that, not having proper footwear makes children vulnerable to foot infections and other health issues. I felt very upset knowing that something so small and simple can have such a big impact on their comfort and confidence in school.

That is why I decided to contribute in whatever way I can and invite others to join me.

There is a Back-to-School Kit that costs ₹950 and provides one student with:
• A pair of recycled footwear
• A recycled study mat to sit on comfortably
• A recycled school bag for their books

Just ₹950 can completely transform the daily school experience of one student.
₹2,850 can help three students. Any contribution, big or small, makes a real difference to their comfort, health, school attendance, and confidence.
