I’m Joshitha Shri, a 16 year old Grade 11 student from Chennai Public School, Anna Nagar.
I’m running this crowdfunding campaign to help transform the Government Boys High School in Mogappair East into a safe and comfortable school.
When I saw the photos of the classrooms and the school building, I was honestly shocked. It was difficult to imagine students studying every day in those conditions. I believe that every child deserves a bright, clean, and safe classroom where they can learn comfortably.
That’s why my friends and I decided to do something about it.
Through this campaign, we hope to improve the school infrastructure so that the 350+ students studying there can have a better learning environment and feel happy and motivated to come to school. This transformation will also help the school introduce Classes 11 and 12 in the future.
A safer and more positive space can make a huge difference in a child's education, confidence, and future.
