About:
My name is Yashwi Agarwal. I am 16 years old and currently studying in Grade 11 at Chirec International School (CBSE), Hyderabad.
I have undertaken this campaign to support children fighting cancer and their families by providing them with a monthly ration basket. While many generous individuals and organizations contribute towards medical treatment for these children, very few focus on an equally vital aspect of recovery—their food and nutrition. Nutrition is not just a supplement to treatment, but a crucial factor that directly influences the effectiveness of medical interventions such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery. Sadly, many of these young patients come from low-income families and are already malnourished, which makes their journey even more difficult. Malnourished children often respond poorly to treatment, experience higher toxicity, face repeated hospital admissions, and struggle to take timely doses of chemotherapy, all of which drastically reduce their chances of recovery. Research shows that malnutrition can lead to the abandonment of therapy and even doubles the risk of death due to cancer.
By providing a simple monthly ration basket, we can ensure that these children receive the essential nutrition they need to fight cancer with strength and resilience. The cost to impact a child’s life is just INR 4,500, a small amount for one, but a life-changing difference for them. Through this crowdfunding campaign, I invite you to join me in this mission of hope. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will directly help a child eat better, heal faster, and continue their treatment with greater strength. Together, we can reduce suffering, bring comfort to families in distress, and give these children a fighting chance at life. Let us unite to prove that compassion and generosity can overcome even the toughest battles.
