About:
Hi, I’m Kshitij Gautam, a 14-year-old student in Grade 9 at Chirec International School (CBSE), Hyderabad.
I’ve started this campaign after learning that many students from low-income families in Telangana, especially those studying in government schools, often lack basic school supplies. Many of them don’t have proper footwear or a school bag and are forced to sit on hard floors during class. This not only makes learning uncomfortable but also causes long-term health issues. Sitting on the ground for hours can lead to posture-related problems in most children, and it can also affect their eyesight, concentration, and ability to focus in class. The lack of footwear increases the risk of infections and other foot-related health issues.
To help address this, I’m raising funds for a simple Back-to-School Kit that includes recycled footwear, a recycled school bag, and a recycled mat to sit on at school or home. The cost of each kit is just INR 950, but it can bring comfort, confidence, and dignity to a student’s daily school life. For example, INR 2850 can support three students and help improve their health, school attendance, and academic performance.
Please consider supporting my campaign. Together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who are eager to learn but need just a little help to get there.
