India is home to a staggering one-fourth of the world's blind population. Social exclusion, stigma, and lack of support systems hinder their growth. Blind children face low self-esteem, poor academic outcomes, and limited career opportunities due to societal perceptions of dependency and incapability.
EquiBeing Foundation, A Bengaluru-based NGO, through their 'Holistic Education Initiative' provides these children with a comprehensive education that goes beyond regular academics. By partnering with Blind Schools in Bengaluru and beyond, they offer specialised training in public speaking, swimming, fitness, and digital literacy, empowering them with skills for independence and confidence.
