My name is K Dheeraj Reddy. I am 15 years old and a Grade 10 student at Suchitra Academy International School, Hyderabad.
I cannot imagine what it is to go blind. It moved me that over 11 million people in India are impacted by cataracts, which can be easily treated. But access to quality eye care and the cost is a deterrent. For many elderly people from low-income homes, getting cataract surgery is a luxury.
Not getting a surgery means they will slowly lose their eyesight and go BLIND. This is where we can help. Thanks to the team at Operation Eyesight ( the NGO), just INR 3200 can give them the GIFT OF SIGHT.
The fact that a contribution of just INR 3200 can make a difference in the life of someone and give them back their sight made me realise that I must do something to help. It not only restores vision for them but also improves the quality of life for needy people.
