About:
My name is Anisha Chakrabarti, and I'm a 16-year-old Grade XI student at Suchitra Academy International School in Hyderabad. I'm incredibly excited and determined to make a difference in the lives of children fighting cancer. I've launched a campaign to provide monthly ration baskets to these children and their families, because I believe proper nutrition is a critical but often overlooked part of their treatment journey.
Many organizations support the medical treatment of financially struggling cancer patients, but very few focus on the equally important issue of food and nutrition. Children from low-income homes are often malnourished, which can severely impact their ability to fight the disease. Malnourished patients often respond poorly to treatments like chemotherapy and radiotherapy, experience more side effects, and are at a higher risk of treatment abandonment and even death.
With this campaign, my goal is to help these children get the nourishment they need to build their strength and respond to their medical interventions more effectively. The cost to provide one child with a monthly ration basket is just INR 4500, and every contribution can make a huge difference in their fight against cancer.
