My name is Vaanika Saxena. I am 14 years old, and I am currently in Grade 9 at Valistus International School, Whitefield, Bengaluru. I want to join this campaign because I believe that being privileged doesn’t mean overlooking the underprivileged, it makes me realise that I have the power to take a step into making everyone be treated the same. Food is the most basic human need, and every growing child deserves it.

I feel extremely grateful for the meals I get every day, especially when I see children on the streets or watch documentaries about families and even children my age or younger than me who can’t afford even one proper meal. It reminds me that what feels so normal for us is actually a blessing, and something many children are unfortunately, forced to live without.

Outside academics, I enjoy basketball, singing, art, and creative activities, and problem-solving. But I also believe in using my time for causes that really matter. This campaign can give me a chance not only to support children in need but also to understand their struggles and their point of view. I would love to meet them, interact with them, and hear their stories; Because only then can we really understand the difference even one meal can make.

For me, this campaign is more than just an activity... it’s an opportunity to spread awareness, bring smiles, and make sure that each child gets the basic human needs everyone deserves.
