My name is Nishika Shukla. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at DPS Gurgaon, Sector 45.

I have met families whose worlds have turned upside down—not because they lack hope, but because cancer came knocking on their little one’s life. The diagnosis is just the beginning of a long, painful journey. While treatments like chemotherapy and surgery are often supported by NGOs and kind-hearted donors, there’s one silent factor that’s often ignored, which is food.
Yes, this is true; something as basic as a nutritious meal cannot be afforded by children of low-income families, and they are left malnourished. Their bodies are too weak to withstand such rigorous procedures as chemotherapy. Since their bodies are too weak, they face severe side effects, and in the worst-case scenario, a treatment failure.

I started this campaign because I realized that nutrition is not a luxury—it's a necessity. Without it, even the most advanced medicines can fail. With it, a child stands a fighting chance—to heal, to survive, to smile again. This is the reason I have undertaken this campaign because this is a critical element in the treatment of these children who go through the difficult journey of fighting cancer. Although there are several people and organizations that sponsor the treatment of financially stressed patients, there are very few that help out with an equally important issue—"THEIR FOOD AND NUTRITION."

A monthly ration basket only costs Rs.4500, which is filled with essential nutrients which could potentially save a life of a young one.
