My name is Sahana Anand Sabharwal, I’m 16 years old, and I’m a Grade 11 student at DPS Gurgaon, Sector 45.
I started this campaign because I would like to help children who are fighting cancer and support their families by providing them with a monthly ration basket.
In the battle against cancer, it’s not just about the treatment — food and nutrition play a huge role in the recovery. Many organizations help with medical costs, however very few make sure that these children receive proper food, which is just as important.
Children from low-income families are already malnourished. This makes fighting against cancer and going through chemotherapy that much harder. Without proper nutrition, they can face more side effects, and even have to stop therapy altogether.
Through this campaign, I want to make sure these kids get the nutrition they need to stay strong during their fight. The cost to help support one child is only INR 4500, but it can make a huge difference in their journey.
