About:
My name is Mahir Sanjeev Chhabra. I’m 11 years old and a Grade 6 student at JBCN International School, Mulund. I have started this campaign because I was shocked and saddened to learn that many students from low-income families in Maharashtra, especially those studying in government schools, do not have access to even the most basic school supplies. Many of them attend school without proper footwear, without a school bag, and without a simple mat to sit on while studying. They are often forced to sit on the hard ground for hours at a time, every day.
Sitting this way over long periods causes serious health issues. In fact, 9 out of 10 students who regularly sit on hard floors face posture-related problems. This also indirectly affects their eyesight, their ability to focus, and their overall comfort while learning. Not having proper footwear increases the risk of foot-related infections and diseases, especially during the rainy season.
But there is something we can do to help. For just INR 950, we can give a child a back-to-school kit that includes a pair of sturdy recycled footwear, a comfortable recycled study mat, and a useful recycled school bag. These simple items make a big difference in a child’s life. With just INR 1900, you can help two students and make their school experience more safe, healthy, and joyful.
Please support my campaign and join me in making a meaningful impact. Together, we can improve children’s health, boost their confidence, increase school attendance, and help them learn better. This kit not only supports their education, it also brings a big smile to their faces. Let’s help the children, one school kit at a time!
