Hi! My name is Akkul Sharma, and I’m 12 years old. I study in Grade 7 at DPS Bangalore North.
I started this campaign after learning that many children from low-income families in Karnataka, especially those in government schools, don’t even have basic school supplies. Most of them don’t have proper footwear, school bags, or even a mat to sit on. Many have to sit on the hard floor all day in class.
This can cause serious problems like poor posture, eye strain, and trouble concentrating. Not having proper footwear also leads to foot infections and health issues.
That’s why I’m raising funds for a simple back-to-school kit that costs just ₹950. Each kit includes a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled school bag, and a mat to sit on comfortably at school or at home. Just ₹1900 can help two students!
