About:
My name is Inaaya Mathur. I am 12 years old and a Grade 7 student at DPS Gurgaon.
What do you do when you outgrow your shoes or clothes? Do you throw them away, thinking they're no longer your problem? This leads to waste and landfill issues.
Now picture a child in a rural area who finds a pair of shoes—no matter how worn or out of fashion, it’s a blessing to them.
Every winter, my family and I donate my late grandfather's old clothes to those in need. Seeing their smiles when they receive something as simple as a sweater fills me with joy. What seems small to us can mean the world to them.
Children from low-income families often face barriers to education, such as uncomfortable seating and long walks to school. This can discourage them from continuing their studies. Many rural schools lack basic facilities and the long journeys can be hard and painful.
Greensole is a foundation that upcycles discarded items into essential back-to-school kits, which include sustainable footwear, a school bag, and a mat to sit on. I am running a crowdfunding campaign to support these children. Each kit costs 950 rupees, a small amount that can make a big difference.
I aim to raise at least 10,000 rupees in the next two weeks for Greensole, helping more children access education. Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will bring smiles to their faces and provide them with the opportunities they deserve.
