About:
My name is Amay Bansal. I am 11 years old and a Grade 6 student at DPS Gurgaon, Sec-45.
I am very keen to help the unfortunate and contribute to their future.
"You never know the situation unless you put yourself in someone else's shoes" is a wise quote that means before judging anyone, imagine how it would be like if you were facing the same problems and situations they are dealing with. Imagine if you were in the shoes of these unfortunate kids. Life would be really tough!
I have undertaken this campaign because I was shocked to learn that many students from low-income homes in Haryana, who go to school (mainly govt schools) do not have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag, and often sit on the hard ground in order to study at school.
Sitting down on the floor for long periods of time means 9 in 10 students will face posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues. Students can also lose their interest in learning and will not have a good education because of this.
The back-to-school kit costs just INR 950 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home, and a recycled school bag for books. This is a very small amount to impact a student. Fund INR 1900, for example, and transform the lives and future of 2 students.
Please support my campaign and let us together impact the health, school attendance, and grades of these fellow students. This kit also brings a big smile to their faces and gives them a lot of confidence.
Remember your funding is changing the lives of these children and potentially the future of our country.
