My name is Mohima Nath Laskar. I am 17 years old and a Grade 12 student at Adamas World School, Barasat.

I am a firm believer of philanthropy and I have undertaken this campaign because I was surprised to learn that many students from low-income homes in West Bengal, who go to school (mainly govt schools) do not have basic school gear like proper footwear or a school bag and often sit on the hard ground in order to study at school.

As mentioned by Ranga Sir in the workshop at Adamas University. Sitting down on the floor for long periods of time means 9 in 10 students will face posture-related problems. It also has an indirect impact on their eyesight and their ability to concentrate and study. Lack of footwear also leads to foot-related diseases and health issues. Hence, it'll be great if the students are provided with the back-to-school kits.

The back-to-school kit costs just INR 950 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home, and a recycled school bag for books. This is not only helping people but also saving our Mother Earth from major harm.

With just a sum of INR1900 only, 2 students from rural districts can be provided with a back-to-school kit.
