Hi, my name is Subhomita Banerjee. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11th student at Adamas World School, Barasat.

I’ve taken up this campaign because I was deeply moved to learn that many students from low-income families in West Bengal—especially those attending government schools—don’t have even the most basic school essentials. Many walk to school barefoot, carry their books in plastic bags, and sit on hard floors for hours just to learn.
