About:
Be the reason a child wins their battle.
I am Pulkit Gandhi of 15 years of age and a Grade 11 student at Jayshree Periwal International School, Jaipur.
Through the means of this campaign, we aim to support underprivileged children battling cancer, and their families, with a monthly ration basket. The basket includes essential food items and necessary supplements. These children are often malnourished due to their low-income background. This is a serious concern as an undernourished child’s health suffers even more when receiving intense medical treatments such as chemotherapy, radiation and surgery. This not only increases the chances of death, but is also a contributor to the abandonment of these kids.
By providing ration baskets, we can support a crucial part of their recovery journey: food and nutrition. Though there are many organizations that sponsor the treatments of financially-weak parents, not many focus on the key aspect of nutrition. With bills piling up, parents are unable to properly feed their children. These baskets would help lift that burden.
Your contribution, no matter the amount, would help fill a plate and fuel a child’s life. Together, we can ensure that no child fights cancer hungry.
A ration basket provides adequate nutrition to a family of four for a month at a cost of INR 4500.
