About:
My name is kiara shah a student in ninth grade at Sishya, Adyar. I have recently learnt that for many underprivileged children of tamil nadu, attending school is not just about learning but also about enduring difficult conditions. Without proper seating, they are often forced to sit on hard floors for long hours, making concentration and comfort a challenge. Many also lack even the most fundamental necessities - shoes. Walking long distances through rough terrain barefoot exposes them to injuries and infections, making their journey to education more challenging which results in increased school absence. Additionally, the absence of sturdy school bags means they have no proper way to carry school books, supplies etc. Often resorting in carrying them in plastic bags or by hand.
My campaign is focused on bridging these gaps by providing children with these essential resources that can significantly improve the school experience. I believe that this small yet impactful change can boost their confidence, dignity and willingness to learn.
The back-to-school kit that cost just INR 950 and gives students a pair of recycled footwear, a recycled study mat to sit comfortably at school or home, and a recycled school bag for books. This is a very small amount to impact a student. Fund INR 2850 for example and transform the lives of 3 students.
Please do support this campaign to help better the experience of going to school that every child deserves.
Thank you
