About:
Hello! I’m Anusha Ranjan, a 13-year-old grade 8 student at Indus International School Pune.
Ever since I was young, I’ve believed in the power that kindness holds and how it can make a significant difference in the lives of people who really need it.
Recently, I’ve been learning more about the youth of India, particularly the underprivileged adolescents/children as my parents are a part of the Ranchi, Samarpan Charitable Trust Organisation which aims to help the minorities around the city and give them equal opportunity.
It breaks my heart to see kids in rural areas in Pune who have so much potential yet so little scope due to their financial challenges. I believe that they deserve the basic school essentials or in fact the basic life essentials like access to shoes, warm clothes and stationery. It’s high time for us to stop taking things for granted as these are a daily struggle for them.
I’m committed to this campaign as I strongly believe that each child should have equal opportunity to fuel their dreams, I believe this campaign is not about just recycling footwear for the sake of doing it but for restoring their confidence and ability to strive.
