My name is Manya Dandu. I am 14 years old and a Grade 9 student at the Chirec Intl School (CBSE), Hyderabad.
I really love helping people, especially those who don't have as much as I do. It makes me so happy to help others and see them happy. It's amazing to make a difference in someone's life and see them smile.
Many women and girls from low-income families struggle to afford sanitary products. Although sanitary products may seem like a norm for us, for them it can be considered a luxury. This can lead to serious health problems, as they may resort to using unhygienic alternatives that can harm them and their wellbeing . These practices can cause infections and other health issues. Additionally, the lack of access to sanitary products can force girls to miss school during their periods, impacting their education and future opportunities.
The solution for this is to provide them with affordable yet long-lasting, and eco-friendly reusable menstrual hygiene kits. By providing these kits to women and girls from low-income families, we can improve their health, education, and overall well-being. These kits can help them maintain hygiene, reduce the risk of infections, and allow them to attend school and work without interruption and also boosts their self confidence.
This unique reusable menstrual hygiene kits are a game-changer. Each kit includes 5 pads – 3 for lighter days and 2 for heavier flows. Designed to last 18 months, these kits significantly reduce waste compared to disposable pads, which are discarded monthly.
