About:
Hi, I am Dewansh a student of Class 12th of DPS, Bangalore North. I am a student of psychology and wish to pursue a career in therapy and counselling. This crowdfunding event that i am campaigning for, is for children with Duchenne Muscle dystrophy. A medical condition in which the muscles of the child not only fail to grow but degenerate. DMD has no cure.This results in the child not experiencing life beyond their teenage years. so why am i taking part in this campaign?
Most children who have DMD, come from an economically deficient background. To get medication for a DMD patient, means sacrificing certain necessities of life so they can elongate their child's life. My goal for this campaign is ₹20,000, which is the amount of money that a child suffering from DMD needs for 1 year's medication. For this campaign we are partnering with an NGO DART which is one of the leading DMD research organisations in Asia.
