I'm a class 12 student of DPS Bangalore North,I love reading books, playing futsal & doing math.
I've decided to help people afflicted with DMD(Duchenne muscular dystrophy) by initiating a crowdfunding campaign. Duchenne muscular dystrophy is a severe medical condition which affects approximately 1 in 3500 male births worldwide.
Karanveer, a fellow student (also a DMD patient) his dedication towards academics is something quite inspiring & also motivated me to ensure that one more fellow brother gets to live a fine life.
Most of the people afflicted by the disease die in their late teens and early 20s.
About 400,000 people in India are affected by this disease. Many Indians afflicted by the disease come from poor backgrounds and cannot afford the high cost of medicines which affects their families drastically
as it results in less money for other members which causes young members to work (when they should be studying) and also marked by a drop in the quality of life.
These stats (I love math don't I?) were dumbfounding and chilling and convinced me to do my bit for betterment of a DMD patient.
The prospect of making someone's life better is something that drives me.
