Hi! I am Akhila Zacharias a student of DPS-Bangalore North studying in class 12th.
I have a classmate , whose name is Karanveer Singh Anand. I have known Karan for 12 years now. Why is he so special? Karan suffers from from a condition called DMD(Duchenne muscular dystrophy) and is wheelchair bound.This is a genetic disorder characterized by progressive muscle degeneration and weakness. But throughout these 12 years I have seen him beat all the odds and do brilliantly.
About 90% of the children suffering from DMD belong to underprivileged families.So my crowdfunding campaign called 'DPS, Help DMD patients' campaign in partnership with DART and fueladream.com is to help children with muscular dystrophy.
A small contribution from our side can make a huge difference to the lives of many. The fact that a contribution from you can fund the treatment of a underprivileged child suffering from DMD for an entire year. This is your and my chance to make a difference to someone's life.
