Hi, I am Sara of Class 6 at the Canadian International School, Bengaluru. My classmates and I are raising funds to gift students of the Sparsha Shelter (a NGO) an “Adventure of a Lifetime”. Most often, we don’t count our blessings. We are fortunate to have a family - our parents, siblings ,relatives. The comfort that we feel with them around is something that we take for granted.
The kids at the shelter are orphans and don’t have this basic comfort of having their parents around. They educate themselves, feed themselves, take care of themselves and are responsible for their own being. The Sparsha Shelter is very supportive of them. They try to provide daily, basic necessities and values that turn them into good people.
I firmly believe that day -to-day experiences educate a person better than textbooks. It is these experiences that helps the person to grow into individuals who can face the world. I, along with my school, want to help these children to see the world a little better and gift them an experience of a lifetime!
