My name is Rhea. I am 17 years old and a Grade 11 student at Canadian Intl School (CIS), Bengaluru, Karnataka.

This campaign is an eye opening campaign close to my heart which truly shows us the power of the female youth and importance of supporting them.
This initiative is aimed at transforming the lives of the girls at Makkala Dhama who mostly come from underprivileged families and have no one to look after them. At Makkala Dhama, they grow up in a secure environment that will help them focus on their studies, health and wellbeing. They are provided with accommodation, food, clothing, medical care, stationery, books, etc and attend nearby schools.

The opportunity to impact the lives of young girls who are around my age will be incredible. These girls will then grow and tell their story and change more lives. To know that we will grow together and I can learn from them and work with them throughout this journey is an honor.
We have been given so many opportunities and privileges that we often take for granted but sharing a small part with them will change their lives deeply and shape all our futures.

The cost to impact a girl for a year is just INR 40000 and the impact of this one girl on the rest of the world will be priceless.
The shelter home will provide all the necessary facilities to help them grow into independent and responsible adults.
This campaign will give them hope and comfort and opportunities to grow and will positively impact their lives.
