My name is Prathna Pratap Singh. I am 16 years old and a Grade 11 student at EuroSchool, Whitefield, Bengaluru.
This campaign is extremely close to my heart as I have always loved helping people. I am personally very interested in many extracurricular activities and I would love to see these girls excel in them too. I have taken up this initiative because I think being able to impact the lives of young girls who are as old as I would be incredible. These girls have no one to look after them. Makkala Dhama will transform their lives as they will grow up in a secure environment that will help them focus on their studies. At Makkala Dhama, girls are provided with accommodation, food, clothing, medical care, stationery, books, etc. They attend nearby schools.
The cost to impact a girl for 6 months is just INR 20000. The shelter home will provide all the necessary facilities to help them grow into independent and responsible adults. This campaign will definitely give them hope, and comfort and will positively impact their lives.
