My name is Lavanya Tiwari. I am15 -years old and a Grade 10 student at EuroSchool, Whitefield, Bengaluru. I am currently playing Tennis internationally, and I am balancing my studies and my love for sports fairly well, along with this, I am also interested in other curriculum activities such as being a guitarist, an artist, and also playing football for my school. I also played in the Final of the U-18 girl's football tournament, and my team with an incredible effort got the 1st prize.

This campaign is extremely close to my heart. I have taken up this initiative because I think being able to impact the lives of young girls as old as I would be incredible. These girls have no one to look after them. Makkala Dhama will transform their lives as they grow up in a secure environment that will help them focus on their studies. At Makkala Dhama, girls are provided with accommodation, food, clothing, medical care, stationery, books, etc. They attend nearby schools.

The cost to impact a girl for 6 months is just INR 20000. The shelter home will provide all the necessary facilities to help them grow into independent and responsible adults. This campaign will definitely give them hope, and comfort and will positively impact their lives.
